Striders of Croydon produced some good performances in hot conditions in the Elmbridge 10-kilometre road race on Sunday. They were led by Lee Flanagan who ran well to place 48th in 36 minutes 59 seconds. Striders of Croydon produced some good performances at their final Southern Veterans League match of the season, at Croydon Arena on Monday. Their men did well to place third of the seven competing clubs, while their women were fifth. Sam O’Dongo had an excellent run to win the 400 metres in a new club M40

Lee Flanagan, from Striders of Croydon, had a very good run to place second overall and first in the over-40 category when running as a guest in the Blackheath & Bromley 10000 metre championship at Norman Park on Wednesday, recording a time of 36 minutes 05.6 seconds.
