57-year-old Dave Shaw, from Striders of Croydon, had an excellent run in the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday, He finished 109th overall in a field of more than 4300 runners, and recorded a lifetime best of 2 hours 50 minutes 31 seconds. This is a new Striders over-55 club record and lifts him to eleventh place
Striders of Croydon produced a good team performance to place fifth in their first Surrey Womens Cross-Country League Division Two match of the season, at Reigate on Saturday.
