    Striders of Croydon faced strong opposition in the London Cross-Country Championships, held at Parliament Hill Fields on Saturday. Their men’s team placed 23rd out of 39.     Striders of Croydon faced strong opposition in their second Surrey Cross-Country League matches of the season, at Oxshott on Saturday. Their women placed seventh out of 29 clubs in their Division Two match. They were again led by Jennifer Gutteridge who ran well to place 22nd, completing the undulating three and a half mile course
