    Steve Smith, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to win the Phoenix Retro Challenge at Crystal Palace, completing the undulating 18-lap course (28.9 miles) in 5:16:49. Angela Seesurrun completed 17 laps (27.2 miles) in 5:01:30.

    ArunKumar Rajagopalan completed the Berlin Marathon in 4:30:42. In the Shoreditch Half-Marathon, Paul Thomas was 18th in the M40 age-group (1:23:25), while Irene Josa ran 2:06:35. 

    In the Eridge Park 10-mile race, Stephen Harris placed 18th out of 140 finishers (1:23:01). Martin Filer was 23rd (1:24:37) and Grace Drewell 97th (1:57:17).

    On Saturday, Kara Boaks was the first woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun, placing eleventh overall (21:17). Phil Coales was second in the Lloyd parkrun (17:41), while Andy Morcombe was second in the Willie Blake Community parkrun in Tucson, Arizona (25:31). Striders had a total of 123 finishers in the various weekly parkruns. In the Lloyd junior parkrun on Sunday, Zoe Siu was the first female finisher, placing fourth overall (8:34).

    Striders had 36 finishers in the Vitality 10K, starting and finishing at Westminster. Peter Johnson was tenth in the M60 age-group (39:45), while Niamh Vincent was tenth in the W40 age-group (42:48).
