Striders of Croydon had four of the first five finishers in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday morning. Lee Flanagan led them home in second place, covering the undulating course in 18 minutes 46 seconds. Simon Ambrosi was third (18.58) and Colin Hann was fourth (19.19). Striders of Croydon faced strong opposition in the Wimbledon 5 kilometre road race on Sunday, which incorporated the Surrey Championships and was the final event in this year’s Surrey Road League. Their first man home was Justin Macenhill who ran well to place 53rd of the 244 finishers, covering the hilly course in 18 minutes
For the second successive week, Striders of Croydon had the first three finishers in the weekly parkrun at Lloyd Park on Saturday.
