Goodall Trophy (Road Handicap) and Jamieson Trophy (Off-Road Handicap)

 

Goodall Trophy Rules :

The road handicaps are run 3 times a year during the summer months.
Guests are welcome to run the events – but it would be helpful if they let the organisers know that they intend to run so that a handicap time can be calculated for them.
The first runners begin at about 7.30 p.m. from the car park by Sandilands clubhouse.

The road handicap course is a measured 5 miles. It is almost 2 laps, on quiet roads around Sandilands.

The handicap has minimal marshalling.

The overall winner of  the road handicap Goodall Trophy trophy will be the winner of the final race, so long as :
1) They have competed in at least one of the 2 previous Handicaps
2) They are a paid-up 1st or 2nd claim member of Striders

Jamieson Trophy (Off-Road Handicap)

In 2018 we introduced the off-road handicaps to encourage Striders to have a go at cross country running.

Jamieson Trophy Rules

The off-road handicaps are run twice a year : The 5 mile handicap on a Wednesday in July and the final 5km handicap on a Wednesday in August. The handicaps are held in Lloyd Park with the first runners heading off at approximately 7.30pm.

Guests are welcome to run the events – but it would be helpful if they let the organisers know that they intend to run so that a handicap time can be calculated for them.

The overall winner of  the Jamieson Tophy will be the winner of the 5km race, so long as :
1) They have competed in the first off-road handicap.
2) They are a paid-up 1st or 2nd claim member of Striders.
