Darren Bird, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to finish 41st out of more than 3000 finishers in the Hastings Half-Marathon on Sunday, recording 82 minutes 41 seconds. Iain Harrison, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well in wet and windy conditions to win the Maxifuel Half-Marathon at Eton Dorney on Saturday. Iain recorded a new personal best of 76 minutes 41 seconds, finishing almost two minutes clear of his nearest rival. This lifts Iain to eleventh place in Striders’ all-time half-marathon rankings.
Lee Flanagan led Striders of Croydon to a convincing victory in their second cross-country mob match against Blackheath & Bromley Harriers, held in conjunction with the weekly parkrun at a muddy Lloyd Park on Saturday.
