Lee and Krzysztof claim new track records for Striders
Lee Flanagan, from Striders of Croydon, had a very good run to place second overall and first in the over-40 category when running as a guest in the Blackheath & Bromley 10000 metre championship at Norman Park on Wednesday, recording a time of 36 minutes 05.6 seconds. Club colleague Krzysztof Klidzia won the over-50 category, placing fifth in 37 minutes 15.1. Both these times are new Striders age-group records for this distance on the track. Three days later Klidzia was the first man home at the Roundshaw parkrun, recording 18 minutes 21. Rachel Lindley was the first woman to finish the Lloyd parkrun, finishing ninth overall and recording 20 minutes 23. Alistair Falconer was third in the Riddlesdown parkrun (18.12). Striders had a total of 42 finishers in the various weekly parkruns (16 at Lloyd Park and 26 at other venues).
