Box Hill Bike Ride Sunday – November 11th

The Forecast for this Sunday looks pretty good so the bike ride to Box Hill this Sunday is on.  Meet at the clubhouse at 9:30 after the one hour run.

The route is 33.3miles all on road and  roughly follows NCN route 22 to Headley and Mickleham except that we will take the direct road  route to Banstead and go round, rather than across Epsom Downs to avoid the mud.    We then head up the zig zag road to the top of Box Hill and back via Kingsway and Coulsdon.

The plan was to stop at the cafe at the top of Box Hill for a snack, however this Sunday is also the Box Hill Ball Breaker Duathlon so I expect it will be crowded out so bring some refreshment with you.  The Ball Breaker starts at 8:00am and by the time we get  there we should be just passing the last runners on their last leg(s).  They don’t close the roads but there may be some hold ups.
