Simone notches up another win for Striders
Simone Luciani, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to be the first man home at the weekly parkrun in Lloyd park on Saturday morning. In very hot conditions, he covered the undulating five-kilometre course in 17 minutes 27 seconds, well clear of his nearest rival. On the same day Graeme Drysdale was fifth in the Riddlesdown parkrun (18.44), while Serena Stracey was the sixth woman to finish at the Burgess parkrun in Camberwell, placing 56th overall in 24 minutes 04. Striders had a total of 43 finishers in the various local parkruns (16 at Lloyd Park and 27 at other venues).
