Rachel Lindley, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to be the first woman to finish at the 200th weekly Lloyd parkrun on Saturday morning. She beat most of the men as she finished tenth overall out of 169 finishers, covering the undulating five-kilometre course in 19 minutes 27 seconds on a very hot morning. Striders also had three of the first six male finishers. Recent signing Simone Luciani led them home in third place in 18 minutes 09, one place ahead of Krzysztof Klidzia who recorded 18 minutes 36 and was the first over-40 to finish. Lee Flanagan also ran well to place sixth in 19 minutes 05. Becky Laurence was the seventh woman to finish (23.55) while Debra Bourne was ninth (25.07). Striders had a total of 20 finishers at Lloyd Park, and had a further 21 finishers in the various other weekly parkruns. Matt Morgan was third in the Nonsuch parkrun (18.27), while Graeme Drysdale was fourth in the Riddlesdown parkrun (19.13) and Simon Ambrosi was sixth in the Bromley parkrun (18.30).
