Steph leads Striders at muddy Roehampton
Women’s Surrey League division 2, fixture 1 – 20th October 2012
Striders of Croydon’s women did well to place ninth out of 38 teams in the opening Surrey Women’s Cross-Country League Division Two match of the season, at Roehampton on Saturday. They were led by Steph Upton who ran very well to place 17th of the 150 finishers, covering the muddy six-kilometre course in 28 minutes 59. Debra Bourne made her league debut and also did well to finish 23rd (29.39). Andrea Jeffries was 55th (32.48), Hannah Musk 69th (34.20) and Stephanie Moss 71st (34.25).
Striders’ B team placed 24th. This team comprised Sarah Fisher (85th, 35.53); Jo Penny (106th, 38.20); Isabelle Kita (116th, 38.57); Julie Jordan (129th, 41.18) and Tracey Hunt (130th, 41.37).
