Phil Coales fourth at Frank Harmer Memorial 10k
Phil Coales, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to place fourth out of 85 finishers in the Frank Harmer Memorial 10-kilometre road race at Brockwell Park on Sunday. He completed the undulating course in 34 minutes 54 seconds. A day earlier, club colleague Peter Mills ran well to finish first out of 125 runners in the South Norwood parkrun, recording 16 minutes 39 seconds. Alastair Falconer was second in the Riddlesdown parkrun (17:52), while Nikki Javan was the third woman to finish the Lloyd parkrun, placing 41st overall (24:20). Striders had a total of 62 finishers in the various weekly parkruns (23 at Lloyd Park and 39 at other venues). Meanwhile Simone Luciani continued his preparations for the Paris Marathon by placing 28th in the Battersea Park 10 kilometre road race, recording 35 minutes 56.
