Peter Mills, from Striders of Croydon, had an excellent run to place tenth out of 567 finishers in the Elmbridge 10 kilometre road race on Sunday, recording 34 minutes 17 seconds. This lifts him to 15th place in Striders’ all-time rankings. Graeme Drysdale also ran well to finish 68th (38.39), with Steve Massey 90th (39.57), Mike Stewart 98th (39.57), Luke Burden 115th (41.11), Darren Woods 117th (41.16), Chris Morton 137th (42.21) and Lyes Fridi 165th (43.28).
Striders’ women were led by Allie Cairnie who ran well to place 238th overall (47.29). Adele Boesinger ran 51.47, Karen Peake 56.17, Jessica Watkins 58.35, Isabelle Kita 58.41, Natalie Seymour 87.47 and Stacey Seymour 88.09.
On the previous day, Rachel Lindley was the first woman to finish the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park, placing fifth overall (19.46). Club colleague Simon Ambrosi was third (19.09). Striders had a total of 53 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
