Peter Johnson 1st MV55 at the RunThrough 10k

Peter Johnson, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to finish first in the over-55 age-group in the RunThrough 10-kilometre road race at Battersea Park on Saturday. He finished 65th overall out of 389 finishers, recording a personal best of 41 minutes 02 seconds. Earlier the same day, Susan Haynes was the fourth woman to finish the Balclutha parkrun in New Zealand. She placed first in the W50 category and 15th overall out of 44 finishers, recording 28 minutes 30 seconds.

Two Striders ran well in the Hercules Wimbledon Middle Distance Night, at Wimbledon Park on Wednesday evening. James Rhodes was fifth in his heat of the 1500 metres, recording 4 minutes 26.34 seconds. Andrew Aitken was ninth in his heat of the 3000 metres, recording 9 minutes 58.21 seconds.

In the High Elms 10-kilometre race on Sunday, Andy Perks ran well to place 35th out of 232 finishers, covering the undulating course in 47 minutes 05 seconds.
