Ernie leads Striders at local parkrun
Ernie Hann, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place third out of 100 finishers in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday morning. He showed the benefit of some recent track sessions by covering the undulating five-kilometre course in 19 minutes 13 seconds. Club secretary Chris Morton was eighth (20.37) and Geoff Pennells was 14th (21.30). Meanwhile Serena Stracey was the second woman to finish in the Brockwell parkrun, placing 47th overall (21.05). Nigel Collins was tenth in the Riddlesdown parkrun (20.48) while Simon Ambrosi was 13th in the Bromley parkrun (19.19). Striders had a total of 29 finishers in the various local parkruns.
