Ernie and Rachel victorious for Striders at Lloyd Park
Striders of Croydon gained a double victory in the weekly parkrun at Lloyd Park on Saturday morning. Ernie Hann was the individual winner, covering the undulating five-kilometre course in 18 minutes 47 seconds, finishing eleven seconds ahead of his nearest rival. Club colleague Rachel Lindley was the first woman to finish, placing seventh overall in 20 minutes 35. Striders had three more athletes in the first nine finishers with Greg Williams fourth (20.03), Paul Stanford eighth (20.40) and Graeme Drysdale ninth (20.47). Meanwhile Krzysztof Klidzia was third in the Crystal Palace parkrun in 19 minutes 16. Striders had a total of 37 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
