Becky leads mass Striders turnout at local runs
Becky Laurence, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to be the second woman to finish in the Riddlesdown parkrun on Saturday morning. She placed 25th overall, covering the five-kilometre course in 21 minutes 45. For Striders’ men, Simon Webster was fourth in the Roundshaw parkrun (20.09) while Taric Matticks was fifth in the Wanstead parkrun (19.03), Simon Ambrosi was sixth in the Bromley parkrun (17.46) and Martin Filer was eighth in the Lloyd parkrun (20.16). Striders had a total of 51 finishers in the various weekly parkruns (19 at Lloyd Park and 32 at other venues).
