• Maidenhead 10-mile road

    Matthew Stone, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place first in the M60 age-group, and 52nd overall out of 859 finishers, in the Maidenhead 10-mile road race on Good Friday. He set a new club age-group record of 61 minutes 31. Club colleague Mick Turner was 347th (80:20).

    On Saturday, Rachel Lindley ran well to be the first woman to finish the Thonock Lane parkrun in Lincolnshire, placing second overall (20:43). Kara Boaks was the second woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun, placing 16th overall (22:52). Consuelo Kennefick was the second woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, placing tenth overall (24:29). Ally Whitlock was the third woman to finish the Chasewater parkrun in Staffordshire, placing 19th overall (21:49). Cindy Siu was the fifth woman to finish the Lloyd parkrun, placing 43rd overall (26:15). Susanna Lutman was the sixth woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun, placing 38th overall (27:16).

    For Striders’ men, Erik Schrijnemaekers was fourth out of 322 finishers in the Maidstone parkrun (18:41). Stephen Kennefick was fourth out of 105 finishers in the Riddlesdown parkrun (21:49). Marc Burrows was sixth out of 154 finishers in the Lordship Recreation Ground parkrun in Tottenham (18:39). Lee Flanagan was sixth out of 153 finishers in the Lloyd parkrun (20:09). Tom Vincent was sixth out of 135 finishers in the South Norwood parkrun (21:47). Striders’ fastest time of the day came from Martin Filer, who was ninth out of 786 finishers at the Bromley parkrun (17:12). Strides had a total of 103 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
