Final parkrun mob match
Striders of Croydon produced a solid team performance at the fourth and final monthly Parkrun mob match, againstEpsom, Collingwood and Tadworth. The men were led by James Rhodes who placed fourth of the 267 finishers in 18:03, Lee Flanagan ninth (18:30), Matthew Stone 11th (18:39), Oliver Watts 13th (18:49) and Conor O’Hara-Barrett 14th (18:53). The women were led by Anna O’Sullivan who was 13th women to finish placing 114th overall (24:30), Nadine Pryce 137th (25:48), Michelle Campbell 143rd (26:13), Yasmin Anderson 148th (26:25) and Claire Mitchell 162nd (26:57).
In the Lloyd junior Parkrun, Thomas Karelis finished 2nd with a time of 07:49, Zoe Siu 34th (10:30), Caleb Macenhill 46th (11:21), Daniel Williams 49th (11:38), and Hazel Siu 54th (12:02).
During the Veterans League match in Kingsmeadow stadium, Striders brought home 3 gold medals. Paul Cripps won both the M50 triple jump and M50 high jump. Kevin Burnett won the M60 4kg hammer throw.
At the South London Harriers Informal 10K, Tatsuya Okamoto was the first male Strider in fifth place with a time of 38:22, he was followed by Lee Flanagan in ninth (39:58), Krzysztof Klidzia 12th (40:22), Peter Mills 14th (40:50), and Andy Perks 21st (44:17). The women were represented by Claire Mitchell finishing in 61st place with a time of 59:27.
