He recorded a new lifetime best of 58.86 seconds, finishing just one-hundredth of a second ahead of the runner-up, Arthur Starvis of Blackheath.
Two members of Striders of Croydon competed in the Belgrave Harriers Endurance Night series of 3000 metre races at Battersea Park on Wednesday. Striders of Croydon hosted the tenth annual Croydon Half-Marathon from their headquarters at Sandilands on Sunday.
