Striders of Croydon produced some good performances in the Sri Chinmoy five-kilometre road race at Battersea on Tuesday. They were led by Jay Lidbetter who ran very well to place 20th of the 399 finishers in a new club M40 record of 16 minutes 03. Striders of Croydon had a good turnout of 43 finishers in the Roundshaw parkrun on Saturday morning, which included a ‘mob match’ against local rivals Sutton Striders and Collingwood. Striders of Croydon produced some good performances in their final Southern Veterans League match of the season, at Wimbledon on Monday. Striders of Croydon had 12 finishers in the Elmore 7-mile road race at Chipstead on Saturday, which was the fifth race in this year’s Surrey Road League. Ally Whitlock, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to be the third woman to finish the  Wendover Woods 100-mile race on Saturday. James Rhodes, from Striders of Croydon, celebrated his 31st birthday by taking first place out of 162 finishers in the South Norwood parkrun on Saturday, completing the five-kilometre course in 18 minutes 13.
