A quiet week on the racing front!
James Rhodes ran very well in the Watford Open Meeting on Wednesday. He finished sixth in his heat of the 800 metres, recording a new personal best of 2 minutes 04.84 seconds.
Consuelo Kennefick was the first woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun on Saturday, placing tenth overall (21:54). Striders’ men were led by Robert Lines who was third (19:09). Lee Flanagan was second in the Fulbourn Hospital parkrun in Cambridge (19:01). Lucy Finch was the second woman to finish the Kingdom parkrun at Penshurst in Kent, placing 29th overall (28:00). Oliver Watts was third in the South Norwood parkrun (19:03) with Erik Schrijnemaekers fourth (19:21), while Angela Seesurrun was the third woman to finish, placing 43rd overall (26:44). Lauren Cotton-Walkington was the third woman to finish the York parkrun, placing 59th overall (24:09). Striders had a total of 89 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
On Sunday Thomas Karelis ran well to place first out of 91 finishers in the Lloyd junior parkrun, completing the two-kilometre course in a personal best of 7 minutes 44.
