Striders of Croydon produced a good team performance to place 11th out of 55 teams in the annual Will Bolton Memorial Relays, organised by Blackheath & Bromley Harriers at Sparrows Den on Saturday. 16-year-old Matthew Ostrowski, the youngest member of the team, gave them a good start by running the first leg of four kilometres

Lee Flanagan, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place second out of 205 finishers in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday, covering the undulating five-kilometre course in 18 minutes 45 seconds. Striders of Croydon had some good performances in the Wimbledon five-kilometre road race on Sunday, which incorporated the Surrey Championship and was the final race in this year’s Surrey Road League. They were led by Philip Coales who ran well to place 21st of the 211 finishers, covering the undulating course in 17 minutes 27
