• Vitality 10K

    Marc Burrows, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to place first out of 131 finishers in the Pymmes parkrun at Edmonton on Saturday (17:50). Consuelo Kennefick was the second woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, placing 21st overall out of 186 finishers (22:53). Cindy Siu was the third woman to finish the Lloyd parkrun, placing 43rd overall out of 260 finishers (24:37). James Rhodes placed fourth out of 758 finishers in the Bromley parkrun (17:25), while Erik Schrijnemaekers placed fourth in the Lloyd parkrun (20:20). Striders had an impressive total of 121 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.

    Also on Saturday, in the RunThrough Battersea Park Half-Marathon, John Stokes-Whittaker placed seventh in the M45 age-group and 162nd overall out of 1045 finishers (1:36:11). At the same venue on Wednesday, Grace Champion was the 31st woman to finish the RunThrough Chase the Sun 10K, placing 173rd overall out of 430 finishers (48:32). 

    Striders had several finishers in the Vitality 10K, starting and finishing at Westminster on Sunday. They were led by Peter Johnson, who ran well to place 15th in the M60 age-group (42:13). He was followed by Michael Smaldon (42:25), Darren Woods (43:23), Leonie Hondeborg (46:33), Alex Legge (47:27), James Burree (48:17), Mark Stanford (54:44), Yasmin Anderson (56:06), Neil McDonough (60:27) and Jo Riches (62:20). Andy Elliott ran well to place ninth in the M75 age-group (66:52).

    In the Pride 10K at Victoria Park, Selena Wong placed fifth in the W50 age-group and 254th overall out of 807 finishers (48:53), while Linda Jones was 512th (57:14). 

    Onn Sunday morning, Caleb Macenhill placed third out of 132 finishers in the Lloyd junior parkrun (08:16), while Zoe Siu was the second female finisher, placing fourth overall (8:18).
