    Striders of Croydon had the first two female finishers in the South Norwood parkrun on Saturday morning. Ally Whitlock ran well to place tenth overall out of the 172 finishers (21:38), while Niamh Vincent was 17th (22:25). Martha Taylor was the first woman to finish the Hilly Fields in Ladywell, placing 20th overall out of 246 finishers (21:16). Further afield, Tatsuya Okamoto placed first out of 42 finishers in the Momoi Harappa parkrun near Tokyo (17:43).

    Lee Flanagan was second out of 118 finishers in the Lloyd parkrun (20:04) with Steve Corfield third (20:41), while Cindy Siu was the second woman to finish, placing 25th overall (25:52). Marc Burrows was second out of 249 finishers in the Wanstead Flats parkrun (20:19). Martin Filer was second out of 111 finishers in the Riddlesdown parkrun (20:55), while Consuelo Kennefick was the second woman to finish, placing eleventh overall (24:28). Erik Schrijnemaekers was second out of 55 finishers in the Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun (20:37), while Selena Wong was the fourth woman to finish, placing 14th overall (24:42). Striders’ fastest time of the day came from James Rhodes who was fourth out of 746 finishers in the Bromley parkrun (16:59). Striders had a total of 114 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.

    On Sunday, Josef Freedman placed 157th out of 365 starters in the Hurtwood 50-kilometre trail race, starting and finishing in Dorking (6:39:13). Club colleague Kechong Nguyen was 317th (8:32:05).
