Paddock Wood Half-Marathon

Phil Coales, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to place first out of 403 finishers in the Hackney Marshes parkrun on Saturday (17:51). Tom Gillespie placed first out of 167 finishers in the South Norwood parkrun (19:59), while Niamh Vincent was the first woman to finish, placing sixth overall (21:05). Daniel Finch placed first out of 95 finishers in the Riddlesdown parkrun (19:30). Striders had three of the first four female finishers in the Lloyd parkrun. Cindy Siu was the second woman to finish, placing 25th overall out of 157 finishers (25:41), while Molly Haviland was the third woman to finish, placing 31st overall (26:38) and Debra Bourne was the fourth woman to finish, placing 38th overall (27:26). Striders had a total of 108 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.

Also on Saturday, in the RunThrough Battersea Half-Marathon, Gemma Halliday placed seventh in the W40 age-group and 761st overall out of 1641 finishers (1:49:00). In the Paddock Wood Half-Marathon on Sunday, Liam Redmond was 376th out of 2446 finishers (1:24:35), with Martin Filer 431st (1:26:36) and Darren Woods 719th (1:34:35).

On Sunday morning, Zoe Siu was the first female finisher at the Lloyd junior parkrun, placing third overall out of 90 finishers (8:34).
